Position Details
Memorial Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) with great clinical and interpersonal skills to join their GI team.
Schedule & Practice Highlights
- Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule
- Dedicated administrative time built into your workweek
- No call responsibilities
- Primarily outpatient practice
- Collaborative team with experienced physicians and clinical support staff
- Average patient volume of approximately 18 patients per day
- Established clinic with a strong referral base and experienced support staff
Clinical Scope
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including:
- GERD, IBS, and functional gastrointestinal disorders
- Anemia and gastrointestinal bleeding
- Abdominal pain and altered bowel habits
- Abnormal liver function tests and chronic liver disease
- Additional responsibilities include:
- Performing pre- and post-procedure evaluations for endoscopy patients (EGD and colonoscopy)
- Coordinating treatment plans, follow-up care, and patient education
- Collaborating closely with physicians to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner with active New Mexico licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Two or more years of gastroenterology, endoscopy, or related clinical experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
- Comfortable evaluating and managing common outpatient gastrointestinal conditions
- Spanish language skills are preferred but not required
